NC 141 - Inspection Techniques and Legal Aspects

The purpose of the legal aspects course is to introduce legal system requirements to OSH personnel. The topics covered include case file documentation, burden of proof, warrants, citations, penalties, citation review and the General Duty Clause. Emphasis is placed on legal communication skills needed for employer and employee interaction during the inspection process. The objective is to familiarize the student with the legal system process as it relates to compliance inspections.
