The purpose of this OSHA safety standards course is to introduce new compliance personnel to the general industry and construction industry standards. The topics covered include general industry and construction industry standards including but not limited to lockout/tagout, electrical safety, hazard communication, bloodborne pathogens, walking and working surfaces, trenching and excavations, steel erection, the General Duty Clause and safety and health programs. The objective is to provide an overview of safety standards and hazard recognition to safety and ASH compliance officers in both general industry and construction industry, and how they are applied in the inspection process.

The PDF presentations below are for students' use and should be printed before each course. They may not be distributed or used for external use as the photos have not been reviewed per NCDOL copyright policy.
