13 NCAC 07F .0701 - .0716 - Blasting and Use of Explosives. The NC state-specific blasting standard amends and provides additions to 29 CFR 1926, Subpart U, to reflect modern blasting practices, procedures and equipment. This includes changes to the definition of "blast area" along with new definitions for "blast site" and "blast operation." A definition of "Blaster-in-Charge" was added to address situations in which more than one qualified blaster may be assigned to the operation.
