This directive describes policies and procedures for implementing a National Emphasis Program to identify and reduce or eliminate the health hazards associated with occupational exposure to lead. OSHNC currently has a Health Hazards Special Emphasis Program (HHSEP), OPN 135 - Health Hazards Special Emphasis Program, which includes lead. This OPN describes the North Carolina procedures for generating and conducting inspections related to the HHSEP.
