This final rule revises and updates the general industry standards on walking-working surfaces to prevent and reduce workplace slips, trips, and falls, as well as other other injuries and fatalities associated with walking-working surface hazards. These final rules have been adopted with an effective date of May 1, 2017 and an effective compliance date of September 1, 2017 for fulfilling the training requirements in 29 CFR 1910.30 - Training Requirements.
