This final rule deletes three references to national consensus standards and two references to industry standards that are outdated from multiple OSHA standards. By eliminating the outdated references, OSHA will clarify employer obligations under the applicable standards; 29 CFR 1910.6 - Incorporation by Reference, 29 CFR 1910.106 - Flammable Liquids, 29 CFR 1910.142 - Temporary Labor Camps, 29 CFR 1910.243 - Guarding of Portable Powered Tools, 29 CFR 1910.254 - Arc Welding and Cutting, and 29 CFR 1910.265 - Sawmills.
