57 FR 6356 2/24/92 1910.119 - Final Rule. This new standard, Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals - 29 CFR 1910.119, is intended to eliminate or mitigate the consequences of catastrophic releases of highly hazardous chemicals such as toxicity hazards, fires, and explosions. Concurrent with this action, paragraph (k) of OSHA's standard on Explosives and Blasting Agents, 29 CFR 1910.109, has been amended to include references to this new standard for the manufacture of explosives and pyrotechnics.
