Confined and Enclosed Spaces for Shipyard Employment

59 FR 37816 7/25/94 1915.7 and 1915.11-.17; Final Rule. Extends the protection afforded by these previous rules to employees entering any confined or enclosed space or working in any other dangerous atmosphere in or out of a shipyard. The final rule also simplifies and clarifies some of the requirements in the previous standards.

Also reference NCAC 5 - The final rules at 29 CFR 1915 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Shipyard Employment and 29 CFR 1917 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Marine Terminals are incorporated by reference into the North Carolina Administrative Code and apply only to public sector employees of local governments of the State of North Carolina.
